You may have noticed a picture on the left side of the page titled 'Pic-N-Run." If you click on the picture it will take you to an online photo album of pictures that were taken in a picture scavenger hunt that our SonSeekers (Junior High Youth) did this past Friday night.
This past Friday and Saturday the SonSeekers had their second kick off of the year. After having so many weeks off during the holidays our leaders wanted to get them "back in the groove" and had this overnighter at the church.
They had a mystery meal which included foods you don't want to know about and this picture scavenger hunt. For the picture scavenger hunt, there were two teams who had to get pictures in assorted odd places. For instance, they had to get a picture of the whole team on a fire truck (complete with firefighter), in a total stranger's house, in a phone booth, of people running around a track and several more. That's what you see in the photo album.
Once back at the church they played games, had devotions and spent a warm and toasty night at the church. Well, they spent a night at the church but it wasn't warm and toasty as the heat went out in the middle of the night. But I'm sure it was a very character building experience.
Check back for more fun events from our youth.

A response to the youth group evening.
(An inside look at why we went)
The kids had a great time they spent the night running around snapping picture of themselves. Then they came back and had a wonderful meal of body parts. Served by the doctors. Dr. Feelgood, Dr. Freelwell, Dr. Eatwell were three examples of the types of names we used. Then we did some drama practice lead by the wonderful Mrs. Wayne. We practiced three skits and had a great time. Then we moved to game time. We played a real-time version of a game called "mafia". Then to sleep time. This is usually my favorite part. Unfortunately the heating was not co-operating with us. So we slept on the floors cold. But we did sleep. In the morning we had a great breakfast that was lovingly made by Jim and Don. Then we had Bible study in the morning where we studied about the body of Christ and how we need to work together. Lastly we all pitched in and cleaned up the building.
Then we left and went home.
All in all it was a good time for the group. I think that they grew together and enjoyed themselves
